Hemp House // Push Design

The Hemp House, located in Asheville, NC,  is the perfect home for any hippie or home owner looking to build a sustainable, eco-friendly home.  It is America's first home made primarily out of hemp using a product called Hemcrete that is a mix of industrial hemp, lime and water.  Another great feature of hempcrete is that it can pull carbon out of the atmosphere both while being grown and while in-situ.  The interior of the home is lined with 100 percent post-consumer recycled paper panels called PurePanels.  It took the building team 9 months to build the Hemp House but they feel like future products could be built in half the time.  The only drawback to building with hempcrete is the U.S. bans the growth of hemp so it must be imported from Europe and Australia.  The list to legalize just keeps growing...  Designed by Push Design.
